Today, I want to show you my own top3 personal designs from my international print on demand business that have done over $1Million in sales for us.
I’ll also mention why these designs did so well so that when you research and get designs created for your own business, you know what to look for.
Most people get this wrong and end up selling designs that don’t work and waste marketing money

- Broad Target Market
- Simplicity
- Emotion
Now, let me share 3 of my personal print on demand best sellers with you:
1. Grumpy Old Man ($500K in sales)
It’s very common in the US to jokingly describe older men and women as Grumpy. Grumpy means bad tempered.
And as some people move towards older ages they naturally become more impatient and bad tempered.
The reason this design did so well:
– Broad Market: This is literally for ALL old men. And there are 100s of millions of old men in the US.
– Simplicity: The design is simple to understand and clearly communicates what it means
– Emotion: It evokes an emotion of humor.
We use FB Ads to promote our international POD business. For this particular design we targeted men and women who were 60+ in age in the US. And had interest in news and politics (subjects older people usually have interest in)
2. Damn I make 50 look good ($300K in sales)
I’ve realised over the years that unlike us (Indians) people in the US really believe in having fun and celebrating life.
Their birthdays are one of those days when they really celebrate growing older. And they love expressing how they feel or want to feel through the clothes they wear.
This design is for people who are turning 50 or already are 50 years old. This design did so well for us because:
– Broad: There are 100s of Millions of 49 year olds in the world who’re about to turn 50
– Simplicity: The design does the talking and simply expresses what it means
– Emotion: It evokes an emotion of fun, pride and humour
For this particular design we targeted men and women who were 49 in age in the US and had their birthdays coming up in the next 3 months (yes you can do that using FB ads).
3. Proud son of an awesome dad ($200k in sales)
Now this design is for sons.
And who buys these for their sons? Parents. This design did so well for us because:
– Broad: There are 100s of Million of parents and sons in the US
– Simplicity: The design does the talking and simply expresses what it means
– Emotion: It evokes an emotion of fun, love and humour
For this particular design we targeted parents in the US and who had interest in magazines related to parenting.
In total, just these 3 designs did over $1M in sales for us in international POD.
